My latest purchase last week, a new battery for my 2010 VW transporter was £80 inc VAT at SAS (Yuasa brand with 3 yr warranty). The local Halfords quoted £119 inc VAT for their 3yr warranty version, the local AutoDiscount quoted £129 inc VAT (Bosch brand 3 year warranty). The shop could be described as 'no-frills' but this is fine considering the low prices and good stock held.
